well i broke down sat night 3 hours from home,the FICM cracked...leaking fuel.

i was going to by pass the fuel that runs threw it to get me home..

i know i have seen it done on some pulling trucks,but can it be done in a have to case like this to get ya home? if so how long would it live before it gets hot and stops working?

There have been many guys to run them dry, do a search. I think theres a few guys on here that are dd them..

well i have done some reading on it,i guess everyone has mixed feeling's about running it dry...and guess what im going to be the test dummy,mines leaking...so this weekend im going to bypass it..but im also going to leave it mounted on the valve cover and see what happens. but i mite wait till i get a extra so i wont be setting on the side of the road lol

If it was my truck I'd bypass it and run it untill it craps out then buy a new one.

I would be temped to drive it home then move it off the valve cover so it stays cooler
