I bet it would be pretty hard for you to run a 12... not impossible but your 60's are MURDERING your ET. Post up all of the info from the slip. What was your MPH in the 1/8th and 1/4?

I was not able to get real technical the first time so I did not actually look at boost number. I boosted as much as I could before I overpowered the brakes. Also the damn thing defueled on it's own on the 3-4 shift I will post all numbers later but my 1/4 speed was 97 mph.

you may alos be runnin out of fuel on the big end. logging some data will help you see whats goin on. Best ive run is a 13.9 so far on my 37s with a draining fuel rail and 1.9 60ft. When people say "you should be low 13s" they are expecting that your motor is runnin at its best and hard launches but everyones truck is different and you cant expect to have the exact same results as someone esle ;). Either way, its a good starting point now for you too see why your not runnin as fast as possible and can make her faster :D

Your right on track. You dont have enough work done to get much lower times. My LLY ran 14.3 In utah at rmr on 37's w stock gears.:thumb:

Is there a track out there by Cambidge that you are running at? I wish you were a bit closer, I'd be able to help you out on setup and launching.

Getting off the line is the most important thing, ever. Get that 60' down and you'll be in good shape, but I know those big 20's a depending on what rubber you have might not make that possible. What psi are you setting the tires at? If you are dead set on getting in the 12's, do you still have your stockers? It will look really stupid but those light wheels, aired down will be better than your big dubs.

The mph is there, so you are making power. The 3-4 shift could be ecm tuning, but you want that shift to have the largest defuel/slowest shift, the most parts are moving on that shift.

Thanks for all the advice. I ran same times with a four wheel drive launch as a two wheel drive. It did not spin much in two only a lil on the one to two shift.

BTW here is another thing i was thinkin. your 20s cant weigh any more than mine. my wheel and tire combo weigh about 140-150lbs a piece (tire weighs in at 86lbs new and the wheel is another 50-60lbs, damn well built desert wheels :D) so its very possible for you to cut a much better 60ft if im cuttin 1.9s w/o spring clamps or traction bars. I know those 20s and tires cant be heavier than mine ;)

I put 265x75x16 with aftermarket wheels 8 in wide on my truck. 60 foot times were real slow put the same tires on the factory wheels and picked up 3 tenths in the 1/8. They dont look as good but unless you make big power those tires and wheels are killing the truck. :thumb:

Hang in there, dont get discouraged!

Thats pretty good for lift, tires you have.

I ran a 13.8 with my lift but was popping the 0087 code about 1/8 mile.

If i could get it fixed i'd be back to the track in a heartbeat!

Keep tweaking and you'll be getting time slips you want :thumb:

Unsprung weight is a big key. 140lbs/corner would be exceptionally heavy. My PY0/Toyo weigh 52lbs/corner. I have read that every lb of unsprung weight is worth between 2x-4x lbs. I dont understand the physics behind the assumption, but it makes sense.

Nobody touched on the effect of the 35+" tires on the gear ratio. That would also have a detrimental effect on acceleration?, wouldnt it? Found this chart http://www.4lo.com/calc/geartable.htm that may help explain what Im thinking.

Get your 60 foot down like everyone else said. Don't try and launch at boost#, try launching at a certain RPM. you will be more consistent. You'll have to make a lot of passes and get the truck dialed in. It's obvious you will have to make more power to run the number you want just because you are at a disadvantage with tire size and weight. I think the tire height has a greater effect on the times at the track rather than weight from what I have noticed. If you had deeper gears, it wouldn't be a problem.

I ran a 15.5@98mph with 39.5's and really heavy 20's (4:88 gears though). All I did was stage the truck and run the race tune. I don't have a LP and didn't touch the tire psi. I wasn't out trying to get a magic number, I was having fun and curious to see what it would do. I didn't even run it in 4wd. The first 300 feet of the track was worthless because I had no traction. I couldn't leave the line at more than idle. Keep working at the setup and dial in a RPM to launch at and you'll get it down as far as you can. With that kind of MPH, you can get that 13:thumb:

I'm no pro so take it FWIW
