How hard is this to do with the engine in the truck?

I found this part number 97223166, LB7 PS pipe for $120 on gmpartsdirect. Any body got one laying around I can buy for cheaper?

I can ship you my stock LLY up pipe and then all you need to do is have the hole welded shut 40$ shipped?

I'll keep that in mind Nick, I'd rather have a LB7 pipe though.

As long as I can get a wrench on the bolts I can probably turn them, thats the part I'm worried about. How tight of a space is it really back there, is there any turning room?

FYI All years pass side up pipe is the same minus the location of the EGR cooler outlet

You will need a good quality 12 pt 12mm socket... I used all 1/2 stuff. You should spray some penetrating oil on them. The lower pass side bolts are easy to get too and break loose. The upper pass side bolts are a little tricky but shouldn't be a problem

Its not bad at all to do. Easiest thing is to remove the pass. side fender liner to get the bolts in the manifold. Be sure to soak them and if they feel like they are going to break work them back and forth and they'll come out

oh ya and when you put them back in be sure to use some copper anti seize on the threads. If/when you do a turbo swap you will be happy you did this
