Favorite primer?

What do you guys like for a 2k primer. Im thinking on using PPG's K38. Thoughts?

Jordan, using Omni MP182 on my truck, wonderful stuff! Omni is PPG's budget line and there is nothing bad about it, just a better price!

Which activator you use? How much per gallon

My buddies doing the spary work for me, hes the pro but none the less, great stuff.

IIRC, I bought MH166 and mix ration is 5:1

So one gallon will yield a tad over a gal of sprayable product.

Its a nice primer/surfacer, sands well, can lay it down pretty good.

Ok I'll take your word. I got a new matco hvlp gun and am tackling some bodywork. So far so good

Im more a mechanicals kind of guy but doin my truck has been a valuable experiance! LOTS of hard work!

Yes hard indeed. 6 hours of work and it doesn't even have one coat of primer. But it's oh so straight

PPG's 3050's series in the deltron line. Different colors for different topcoat applications. Also standox 2k filler is good. Both lay out nice and sand nice, but the deltron is the cheaper of the two. If you can find some old K36 from PPG that works good also.
