Hey guys, I've been trying to chase down my blinker problem on my 2004 Chevy. The blinkers both blink fast on both sides. I checked all the bulbs and they all work fine. I replaced the blinker relay, topped it off with blinker fluid, and checked all the fuses. Still the problem exists. Once in a while they will blink normal, and when I have a trailer hooked up they blink normal. I'm thinking there has to be a ground issue somewhere......

I had a problem like yours, it ended up being the ground from the wiring harness to the frame under the bed, I cleaned the grounding area and everything works fine now. On my truck the wires grounded to the frame just under the filler tube where the bolts are to hold the bed down.

Are you sure you used the proper grade of blinker fluid?

Thats what im starting to think. I've been hearing about a ground under the bed that gets a bad connection and screws up the blinkers. I'm gonna check that out tonight. Thank you MAXX IT OUT. And Josh, I used Dot 3 synthetic blinker fluid, thats what I ran since new.

I had the same symptoms until about a month ago. I decided to try the "LED" version of flasher for our trucks. I've had no more issues! I had replaced the flasher with a new one with the same part number from the GMC stealer and it didn't change anything. The new "LED" version was more expensive, but dang I'm glad that I don't have that hyper-flash any more. Good luck!:happy2:
