So i installed my FASS today and well it worked almost great! I went from loosing 20,000 psi. Demanded 24000 actual 4500. To only loosing 5000 psi roughly. Tune requires 26000 and it holds 20-21000. BUT I blew a hose off at walmart parking lot a good ways away from my house. I didn't use 1/2" clamps because it said not to use them and guess what i blew the hose off partially. The tank was full and now it has 3/4 of a tank. It started i guess when i left the house. Halfway from my house to Walmart i smelt diesel but i figured it was the excess hose i had take out and put in my truck. I wheeled into Wally world and a guy points at the ground and says your truck is leaking BAD! I look and there is a trail all the way down the aisle. I think well okay that's not good. I just thought it was leaking... Got back out to my truck and there was a puddle from one side of my truck all the way to the OTHER! I thought to myself damn that's alot of fuel hope it is just a leak. Tried to start it and it wouldn't. So i threw the tarp down since there was nothing beside me and knelt down to see a hose not even attached anymore.

What do i need to do to fix it to get home and to fix it indefinetly once i do get home? I know it was connected good the first time.

Well i was just trying to follow the instructions lol... It say warning. We recomend not using clamps because the something another holds up to 300psi. I had clamps but didn't put them on. Now i wish i had went ahead and done it. I didn't realize it was gravity feed or else i wouldn't have left it sitting there for two hours. I filled it up this morning and put 25 miles on it and tonight how much fuel did i have you ask? low fuel light was on if that tells you anything. I went back clamped the leaking one just to get it home and now it just drips mildly. I am going to go back under it tomorrow after church and clamp them both as good as i can. Screw the warnings!! Also what do you think could be causing the pressure to be 5000 under? I haven't changed the filter in about 7K miles. I did check my FPRV and it was intact and as tight as i could get it with a wrench and 6" cheater pipe. What's next a bottle test? And if that proves to be fine what next? I believe my stock LLY cp3 isn't capable of moving but like 25000PSI. Would you think it is a weak cp3 or to much pulsewidth?

Is your FPRV shimmed? that is about right 20,000-21,000 WOT with a stock LLY CP3

Yes. I am shimmed 2 shims. I checked it to make sure it was tight. Demands 26xxx and get between 20xxx to 21xxx

I had a friend fill up in bowling green here in KY then hit the interstate to illinois for a hunting trip and he said cars was passing him with there wipers on and little kids shooting him the bird and his had blew off and he said it took about 4 to 5 min to run the tank bone dry so he give me a call and I headed out with a clamp a creeper and 5 gallons of diesel and I put his fass hose back on the hard line slipped it on there a good ways and put the clamp behind the lip on the hard line so there was no way it could come off.

When we redid Jewells tank we left off the clamps and it started seeping right after we got it running. We clamped every hose avaible! Diesel seems more easy to leak then gas and seeps out everywhere you think it can't. Clamp it down and then recheck the clamps after a few days of driving-you will have to retighten all of them.:(

Thanks guys! I went up there last night and just clamped it as good as i could with out being able to see since i forgot my light. It held great all night. Today i got back under there and removed the driveshaft and repositioned the clamp and tightened it down and put one on top of the tank as well. I will most definetely check them again in a few days like you recommended. I am going to log everything again tomorrow and see if my rail pressure is better now. Thanks again.
