I got issues

In the mornings lately, I have been having an extremely loud humming from the engine bay that the resonance from it vibrates my dash and all. The faster I go, the worse it gets. It stops after about 30 seconds. Is this the fan?

I know it did it in the Winter when it was really cold, but why did it just start doing it again?

Larry I have never ever found an aftermarket fan clutch worth a shit. They all make your truck overheat.

Depends on who you talk to. I personally don't think electric fans are necessary on our trucks. Except for the '05 year, the factory set-up seems to work well with no overheating issues.
Your fan should not vibrate ever. If it does, you have a big problem. Maybe a cracked fan blade or something. I would get it checked out ASAP.

Warranty if it were me.

Less CFM I think. To get an electric fan that can move the same CFM as a stocker, I would think you would need a pretty high horsepower motor to turn a fan with the same pitch on the blades to move the same amount of air over the same amount of time - something I haven't seen yet in a 12volt world.

what about duals?? any difference with that?? smaller fans with much more agggressive blade pitch and size, two motors that aren't taxed trying to move that cfm...... is there room for that in the front of these trucks?? i dont think we're lacking in the 12 volt dept... :D

anyone tried it yet??

i know it worked in my car.... thats all i ran. no clutch fan at all. car ran at 190* without fail, all the time, even on 112* days.

Larry would be the expert on overheating trucks and I think TxChristopher sells a Damn Fan or whatever the hell it's called for the 05's but I don't know for sure if they work. I have heard towing through the mountains with electrics doesn't work well for some people.
