My Nitto's A/T's are all but shot and have me ice skating in the rain. Anybody run these? I'm considering them as my next set of tires. In the 285/75/16 flavor. They are supposed to be guaranteed for 50k miles and 8 ply.

Good tires, decent wear, and they were not soft rubber. Ran them on my old lbz and did a lot of drifting with no sway on a 325 65r18. Which is good. Haha

I just took a set off. It was a really good tire. I ran a 285/55/20 and they hooked really good and got excellent traction until they got pretty bald, then they were terrifying. They are definitely a hard rubber.

I'm running 285/60/18's in those same tires. There ok. Decent traction in the rain but with the blip on the throttle they break loose. Dry road they hook up pretty good but I can still blow them off if I floor it from a dead stop once the turbo of lights. There not bad in the snow either. Only thing I can see wrong with them is that when your wear past the siping, your running on big blocks of rubber that will have severely reduced traction. I only have about 1000 miles on mine so I can't comment on wear.

Excellent news. I'll be going with them it looks like. I found them on eBay for $644 shipped to my door for a full set

I was looking at those tires last time I was in the market. I would have got them but I fell into a great deal for a set of general grabbers.

Well before I pulled the trigger on them I did some pricing and looking around locally. Turns out Discount Tire can get them and will beat eBay prices, but the goober manager there refused to sell them to me because my rims are 6.5" wide and they are supposed to go on a 7" or wider rim. Even after telling him I have 315s on those wheels. And offering to pay cash and "losing" my receipt as I leave. So they're on the same sh** list as the Wal-Mart tire center that told me my almost new mud tires were to bald to mount. Ended up at tire kingdom and got a set of 285/75/16 terra grapplers for $870 out the door with 12 months interest free credit to pay for them. Couldn't turn it down.
