Anyone know where to download the original "as-built" data for an LLY ECM so I can have a copy for myself? Just in case.

I'm having trouble finding where to download the programming file for my truck. All I can find is Calibration ID and CVN. Are these the files I need to program a blank ECM?

If your truck is still stock, just copy the stock tune in it with EFI and save it, email it to three friends in case your comp craps out, and you should be good.

As far as the CAL ID and CVN, I believe you need these to program an ecm, but I don't know anything about why or what they do.

You will need access to TIS, a TECH II Scanner and a mongoose cable to connect from your laptop to the Tech II to get the programming.

Once the TEch II has the programming downloaded you have to full flash the ECM with the Tech II and then read the file out with EFI-Live.

The TIS web site will show you the correct programming calibrations along with the correct updates so you can compare what the truck has vs. what the file has for a stock tune.

Well guys, the problem is I don't have access to EFI Live, a Tech II Scanner, or a Mongoose cable. All I have is my 6 year old laptop. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction though!

Question here. Can I get the orginal (virgin) stock tune that does not have any of the GM updates in it?
