Exterior Upgrade Plan

Hey guys just wanted to bounce some ideas off of ya'll and get some thoughts/opinons...

I'm planning on using my Christmas money for exterior appearance upgrades
My plan when picking appearance upgrade products is to retain a factory appearing look that incorporates a better technology or use OEM parts that have a better look. I am not one for over the top items that will eventually die out like the paint schemes of the 70's lol...

So here is the list...

1. Denali Head light + HID's and DRL upgrade...
I have found a couple different options for these just about everyone I look at seems to have the halos (not really a fan of em' I think they belong on BMW's) but thats just my opinon and I guess I won't have to connect them...


A. I do like these and the LED's for the DRL's but i'm not sure of how they would look with out seeing a set and a couple angle's of them

B. These are not Denali style but the clear looks better than factory and the DRL lights look really good

2. HID's- I like the look of the yellow fogs personally and think that the yellowish color will reflect back less in fog, but I don't have any experience with them-

A. 6000K Low's, 3000K Fogs
B. 6000K Both

3. LED Tail lights- I like A. better myself

I dont like the halos myself. I ve been wanting to upgrade the rest of my lighting myself but cant find headlights that i like. Im probably just gonna paint my stock headlights with a few coats of black mixed in the clear to give them a tinted look.

If i had to chose from your options id go this route:

I ike the L.E.D. tails way better then the Euro clear ones. theres tinted L.E.D. Taillights that im gonna get soon www.gorecon.com/product.php?pk=127&...OKED+LED+Tail+Lights+Chevy/GMC+99-07&p_cat=44 is the ones i like

as for the 3rd brake light i like the all tinted version

As for the HIDs no experience with them except for wanting to kill these Honda kids with those bright azz lights!! I know they make a decent set of those but some of them are to DAMN bright!!

For headlights Id say get some OEM denalis and clear them yourself.

Either of the taillights look decent.

Id do both lows and fogs with 6k HIDs.

Under tailgate I wouldnt do either, but if you are going to do dually clearance marker.

I like the look of the recon 3rd brake lights but hear nothing but problems about fit and finish on them.

Rear plate LEDs are cool, I have some hyperwhite ones on my truck I got from eGay.

Thanks Matt...Do you know where a set of Denali OEM's can be had for cheap? My draw to aftermarket one's is because I can get a set for the price of one OEM

Thats true, they do get spendy. Only recommendation I have would be to watch eBay for a decent deal.

Hey, if your lookin for cheaper "factory" stuff check these guys out, Ive gotten some factory repalcment stuff from them and its always been real nice stuff and fit right and cost less. At our local Keystone store, my buddie can get stuff at shop price and that helps to know someone! And if somthings not right there pretty good with making it right but i have had little issue with them.
