LB7: Exhuast Advice

Hey I am looking at order an exhaust kit for my lb7 this week. I think I want 4" duals but some of my buddies say that I should consider doing up pipes and the down pipe while I am there. What would be your opinion on this? What is to be gained? And of course I dont want to tank my fuel economy, I can afford to drive the truck right now.

I think you'll be good with just the exhaust and down pipe. Don't think the up pipes are necessary unless you have some serious HP and Iv herd the lb7 down pipe can be a pain to get on just so ya know. Iv got an MBRP exhaust and down pipe and it sounds great and actually helped my milage. :thumb:

I have the MBRP downpipe and Cool dual on my 02 no fuel mileage issues. Do not fear the downpipe change it is not nearly as bad as everyone says.

X2 not that bad to get in i have the rdl down pipe from rick and it made a difference IMO untill you port the motor you probably dont need the exhaust but i think they all add and any stage its all about flow and tuning
