Exhaust or not?

I've read a couple theads on DP about some people loosing HP/tq, and slow spool with larger exhausts. Whats everyones opinion here?

i put on the mbrp 5in turbo back and i never noticed a thing. the big thing is lower EGTs when running a hot tune you definetly need an after market one for that very reason, or at least thats what ive heard.

When I had my magnaflow 4in cat back installed I was so sad that it barely sounded different. I did notice more power, and better mpg. Like 6 months later I decided to pull off the cat and muffler and wow I noticed a little more power but what I really liked was that there wasnt any back pressure. The truck felt a lot smoother when accelerating. If I was you get the exhaust it will only help your engine breathe better. And It will cool egts like everyone has said.
