Even more problems. Is my FICM fried?

Hey guys, we've been battling some gremlins in the truck after a HG and injector job (see my previous posts). Well, I think all my issues in the previous posts are due to a failing FICM because the truck went into limp mode this weekend and we had to get it towed. Truck started, but only ran on 4 cylinders and had no throttle response whatsoever. The one and only code I'm getting is P1658. I couldn't find a ton of info on this code, but the little that I did pretty much says it's a death code for the FICM, am I understanding that correctly? Also, do the FICM's go out over time and produce symptoms like I've been seeing leading up to this? (hard starts, random limp modes).

After we had it towed, we took it back to the garage and dove into the wiring, could not find any exposed wire in the usual suspect places. We did however find a ground that was going from the firewall to the hood, that we now realize should be going from the firewall to the drivers side block. Could this have been what caused it?

Lastly, anybody got the hookup on an LB7 FICM?

There is no external failure that can cause P1658 to set, that code is an internal circuit failure within the Ficm. Post up your location, so somebody may have one around you to help out. :thumb:
