LLY: Engine whine/turbo whine

Randomly one day my truck started to develop a whine noise a few days ago, It sounds like turbo whine, no whistle. almost like a supercharger sound on a small block. The whole power steering/hydroboost system is brand new and i have checked the intercooler boots and all exhaust top to bottom and no leaks. Barely and shaft play in the turbo. Mods in my signature. I can build boost with the brakes on and the whine reflects the turbo spool up, not engine rpm. In 5th gear on the highway getting the turbo to light at low rpms itll reflect that also. Anyone heard of this before? Turbo is a DTS 72 4094 vgt Thanks

Are you sure it's not related to the engine rpm? The idlers like to go bad on these trucks. It will sound like that when they go bad.

I put all new idlers, and tension pulleys and new belt on today. I also re did intercooler piping and checked all boots. Checked exhaust and still doing this same thing

Boost leak where hot pipe goes into ic.

Not familiar with egr stuff, but could it be o e of those pipes or blockers?

Egr is deleted and there's nowhere for it to leak. Any way these turbos start to make noise before they blow up?

I had what sounded like louder than usual turbo whine. It varied according to rpm. Noticed it one day when the radio wasn't on and thought it was just my imagination, that it was turbo. This went on for a few days. Did some dragstrip runs on Friday evening, next day on the dyno the stroker CP3 went bang and locked up solid.
