Will a 2006 Duramax LBZ fit into a 2004 2500HD without any mods?

Physically yes. Electronically no. You’d need a lbz chassis harness and cluster and shift lever I believe

And accelerator pedal, add some wires, move a wire or three, replace transmission valve body and harness with 6 speed vb (or whole trans). Lower radiator hose is larger coming out of the pump, cold side cac piping is different. It certainly can be done, but there are a bunch of bits and pieces that need to be handled.
