Hello everyone!
I have been trying rather unsuccessfully to order a crank pin kit from empire diesel the last 3 weeks. Seems the problem is that the special bolt that is included in the kit is hung up in the machine shop. That being said, I have the front clip off my truck so it would be way easier for me to do it now, so my question is for anyone that has this kit if I could possibly borrow/or buy the bolt off you?

Thanks!!
Dylan

Yep!
Came out great!!! Here are some pics for people interested! It actually drilled way easier than I thought it would. Roughly 300 rpm, took 2 minutes tops.

dylan,

this only pins the balancer correct??

i remember this being a bit misleading as it seems like it "keys" your crank but its really only the balancer i believe (they did it for running a supercharger belt off the balancer so it wouldnt shear off the stock 5mm pin) ???

That is correct it only keys the balancer , the gear behind the balancer that drives the oil and water pump is not affected , I ran the empire kit on my truck last year and added a second pin( stock key ) to that gear , it held up fine but only a good choice if the crank isnt coming out of the motor , a key way is still a better option .

Ideally everything should be keyed. I have no idea why some rocket scientist decided on the piss ant pin system.
