Well I am man enough to say I'm a moron. Y'all knew that though:roflmao:
So when i had fried the freeway gears in the transmission, had one built by the guys @ ultimate trans, and was waiting for the trans to be finished i installed several bolt ons and did some major cleaning of the radiator and engine compartment. One of the bolt ons was an intercooler, and some ppe boost hoses. A couple long nights with no sleep...i left a rag in the intake:roflmao::spit::thumb::rofl:
Yeah how bout that, i was even smart enough to count them wrong, cuz i counted them before and after and i thought i used four
as it turns out i used five? Weird, i even took everything back apart and looked with a cheap scope, lighted mirror, and tried grabbing up the intake with a long pick up tool the night before the tow truck came.
so long story longer, my engine is fine NO ENGINE BIULD THANK GOD
the valvetrain is fine, no damage
The heads are going to be surfaced and new gaskets used, arp studs are goin in and maybe a stg 2 4094 drop in?
Not sure yet, i am just super relieved to NOT be building the block right now
im happy to be a forgetful idiot at this point and live and learn I am super relieved that my tune didnt do something or me for that matter to the engine.
If i had not had a tow lined up to get the truck over to the transmission shop i would have eventually taken the heads off myself, but its kinda cool to have good mechanics work on my truck, who have other professionals working with and around them like machinists, a transmission tech/builder, engine tech/builder, injector specialist etc...
