ok well lately, its been sub degree weather, like single digits,i would start my truck about 15-20 mins before work early in the a.m,and the elevated idle will kick in of course,by the time i go and get into my truck,my evolution race, has read around 170-175,which seems like alot for sittin for 20 mins, then i'll go drive it,and the trans temp will drop down to 145-155 which is normal...is this a normal situation? I just had my trans built by george at Bigdipper if it matters. Also have a ally deep pan.thanks a bunch.

If your fluid level is over full it will run hotter and will leak out the overflow till the proper level is reached. If the level is above the hot, drain some out in a clean pan till it's right. Add some back if you drained too muvh.

just to let you know mike,i am seeing drips drop off the back driverside corner of my deep pan,and a little to the right aswell.,maybe 1 drip every 3-5 minutes..but I can't really feel anything on the top of the trans..Sounds like overfilled a bit but not 100% sure.

I'm not gunna worry , I'm sure it's just a little overfilled. I am confident in George he's a great guy and a phenomenal builder. I'll drain a little out and go from there. No worries anyone!

You really need to listen to your builder. Posting this shit on every forum is not cool. George told you what to do, and I answered you in a pm. I would think that he and I had the same idea. Sorry you got a leak probably due to being overfull. This shit happens to all of us. Sometimes we don't get the proper level because of an air pocket.
If you spent more time litening to what we said instead of bitch typing your sorrows, your fluid leak would be resolved.

Just unaware of this problem before I'm sorry for making a deal out of something I. Guess is so common. I just got alittle worried when I see a few puddles in the drivewaY,that's all. I apologize about for the dumb question. I trust George and know he would never ever leave anyone hangin.hense the reason I drove 6 hours down for my build. I'm not here to hurt anyones reputation, just a question. Everything should be fine then.sorry

So I checked it out today with my friend, and sprayed cleaner all around the area, once it dried up I did not see anything running down the trans,So im assuming its the tranny pan gasket,We drained some fluid out enough to where it read 1/2 on the hot mark or so.Its not coming from the overflow vent.George has a gasket on the way for me:thumb:,Im sure that will be the cure of the problem
