I drove approx. 10 miles and got out of my truck a 2003, GMC, Duramax. Went back out about an hour later and it was dead. Went to the auto parts store and they said my alternator wasn't charging. Bought a new alternator and changed it. Still no charging going on. Went back and Changed both batteries out to new batteries. Still again no charging. started checking things and found that the plug going into the alternator didn't have any power. The cable that is bolted to the alternator has power but not the plug. Is there a relay or fuse on this year model that could have something to do with this or is there something else that may be wrong.

Thanks,
Danny

well first thing i would have done before throwing parts on was check all the fuses (ones under the hood and in the cab). from your post it sounds like you have not done that yet?
