Electrical bug-dash problem

So my dash cluster is randomly changing languages and my steering wheel controls intermittently work, Iv checked connections and all the basics, my question is would this be a bad cluster causing this? Or more likely something with the steering wheel controls? Iv been having this issue for a while now and have not found much on the solution to this but have read about several people having this issue.

Thanks that's the most info Iv seen yet, now if I can find out if this cluster is causing the steering wheel controls to act up

I was going to suggest un plugging your cluster to see if it changed anything. But unless your loosing radio controls too you won't know.

Also not sure if steering wheel controls run through the cluster otherwise or through the bcm..

I have a aftermarket stereo and haven't connected the swi jack so I don't have steering wheel controls at the moment, I talked to GM gauge guy and he said to swap cluster with a similar truck "which a friend of mine has the same truck" and see if it goes away, so I'm going to try that this week
