What kind of gauge do you have in there?
Did you extend or shorten any of the wires from the egt probe at all?

Do you have the thermocouple wires reversed? The other thing to check is the voltage from the thermocouple. It should generate DC voltage. Check it with a meter (this should rule out the thermocouple if the voltage changes with engine load). There is a corolation between the voltage and the temperature, but I am not sure of the scaling.

Hi guys thanks for the replies i have it mounted in a pillar pod and i used the ignition wire from under the dash at the relay box by the brake pedal i used the yellow wire. They are phantom 2 guages and the egt/pyro has a wiring harness that plugs in at the back of the guage so it should be fool proof the other wire is the ground and the third wire is for dimming which i have tied into the light switch to the grey wire . How do i check off the harness if the probe is done . Thanks boys!!!!!!!!
