Whats up im new here. I have a 03 LBZ duramax. Engine light came on a month ago. Code reads to what i can remember EGR valve Closed or stuck cant really remember. Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem and how easy it is to fix. Also seems like i have lost some power. I have read that when the EGR valve sends the code to the computer it decreases the fuel pressure. Is this true? And how long would it take to fix? And around how much?

Yes 03 LB7 GMC Sierra 2500hd crew cab long bed 4x4 allison tranny, With the Bank six gun, banks turbo back exhaust (no cat), Stock intake but opened up a little nothing big, airbags in the rear, 5 wheel hitch, 285 65 16 wranglers, bla bla bla. Injectors have been replaced twice now, truck has around 111,000 miles. And for the code i dont remember all i can remember is it said something about egr being closed or not working or something.

EGR codes are not easy to trouble shoot and fix. Having the code will help.
Jump over to the diesel place (just don't stay there...) and do a search for EGR code. You will find enough info to make your head spin for days...
