EGR blocker on LBZ with FE9 build code

I read somewhere that if you have the FE9 build code on your truck and install an EGR blocker that you don't have to install a fingerstick. Has anyone else heard this or can anybody confirm this before i order my parts?

That was for the 2004.5 LLY, not the LBZ.
