My problem is that my EFI is not working ever since I did the latest update 7.5.4? I think and it's giving me FITs!!! It keeps telling me it cant locate some CONFIG file and then just shuts down. I tried to delete it and it say it cant find I dont know?????? some dam file and wont let me do that either! What I did manage was to download my old 7.3 but it wont support my DSP tune that is in the truck now so no luck there either. HELP
P.S I suck with computers

When did you download 7.5.4? What operating system are you using on your computer? I have vista on this one and downloaded 7.5.4 last nite, no problems at all, no loss of files, and it seems to work, I hooked scan tool up and went thru some pid files while watching the data happening on the truck. I'm going to download it tomorrow on my other computer running XP, i'll let you know if it has any issues.


Now that you got the old 7.3 loaded, have you tried to re-load 7.5.4?

I didnt download the BB software, I'm waiting for the public release on that before I do. I just got the 7.5.4 download for now

Larry, BBL will remain in public pre-release until we release our new software V8. This will take a number of months of development AFTER standalone flashing is released. We have some time frames on our drawing board, but none that we are prepared to share publically.

SBCNX20 7.5.4 was only released yesterday. Are you sure this is the software you are trying to install? In any case, please make sure you are installing the latest software which can be found http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=8425 .

If after installing that software you are still having issues run a search on the missing files in windows explorer and make sure they are in the right directories.

The Black Box Logging beta software is now available as a fully self contained Windows installation. As well, we have made available the latest V7.5.4 EFILive Scan and Tune software as a fully self contained Windows installation.

There has been 2 releases since that release (June 22nd then yesterday). For ease of installation, I think you are best to download the latest public release (yesterday's release), and get that one working rather than trying to get something that's outdated working.

There are some very minor functionality differences between June 22 and June 29 - a few bug fixes and changes.

The biggest difference is that it's a PUBLIC release and becomes the stable platform for us to develop the next phase of development.
