I tried to check balance rates and rail pressure on a LB7 a friend just got. Those were the only pids selected. Kept giving me error #07. I tried removing the rail pressure pids and still did it. They validated fine. It read the stock tune off it fine, and read and cleared the dtcs... I've only messed with LLYs mostly and a couple LMMs, so not sure if I am doing something wrong? Also since I haven't tuned an LB7 am I right in thinking I can mostly use the same fuel and timing tables from my LLY tune? Maybe adjust the timing down at first since initially the boost will be less until the turbo spools?

I looked on the EFI forum hoping to find an error list but didn't see one. Seems like it about has to be me doing something stupid...

Have you recently updated your software? If so you could have a firmware/ boot lock issue. There has been a lot of weird things going on with the upgraded software when you don't update the v2 also.

I put the newest firmware on it when I put the last update on. Just checked and it works like normal on dad's lly and reads balance rates fine on my lml too. Lowest balance rates I ever saw too. Makes me wonder if they read different or are that good. So anyway it seems like either a problem with this lb7 or I need to do something different to read lb7s...

Nobody? No response on efi forum either. I am reluctant to flash the truck even though I could read his tune. Don't want this to cause a problem. I may just do it anyway soon.

LLY trucks are temperamental. Almost everyone that I have flashed has sent some error or wouldn't communicate at least once.

So I messed with this truck more just now. Still wouldn't see balance rates. So I just flashed a tune in anyway. Then suddenly it read balance rates and rail pressure fine. Weird. Number 8 was a bit off, -7 but the rest were under 3. Most under 2 actually. Seemed decent except 8.
