Anyone heard / tried the latest (a few weeks ago that is) beta for the BBL yet? I know Pat said he has it loaded on his beta laptop ... just wondering if it is safe enough to try yet. From reading the EFI Live forums, it sounds like the diesel stuff kinda works now.

how much did that cost??

When I dropped the truck off I told them what I did, (we have a good relationship with them since we fix their compressors and buy alot of trucks there) and what I wanted them to do (reflash the ecm) so they said they would look into it and see what they could do. I get a phone call saying the ecm was dead and there was nothing else to do but replace it. I asked how much and they said $574 for the ecm and would probably have about six hours in it by the time it was done. They said they would turn it in for warranty but if GM denies the claim after looking at the ecm I would be responsible. I showed up for a reprogram and now it has turned into this mess I asked how much it would cost if I just took the truck before they replaced the ecm and they said about $400 so I just let them finish it. I should have just ordered a new ecm from a vendor and worried about fixing the old one later. Lesson learned I guess.

I have flashed Blue, Casper and Wendy using the new software.

No problems. However, last I checked, the black box logging was not functional.

Pat or anyone else,

Not sure it makes much difference, but were these total reflashes, or just calibration flashes? I'm using the DSP5 on my lb7 so I am doing full reflashes each time. I figure they either have it working or it doesn't.

As for BBL, a couple guys were saying that it was working on LLY's. Of course, there still is the issue of which PID's your trying to log. There is supposedly a shorter list of PID's than there used to be for BBL.
