I have a lml that is throwing the def heater code and I'm looking to delete and straight pipe what's the best set up and what's the benefits/negatives?

Best setup would be a matter of opinion.
Good setup would be any reputable tuner, and good quality down pipe back exhaust system.
Benefits are, no more annoying emission equipment related codes or limp modes, improved fuel economy generally, improved performance.
Negatives are none. Unless you turn it up to the point you damage things.

I have a Efi Live V2 Tune/Scan tool to be able to purchase tunes from somebody and upload them into your truck to not only be able to delete that code or help with it but also any future codes for different mods you do. PM me if interested.
