Hello all I installed an EFI tune in a 2005 LLY. The o.s. did not match the stock file o.s. I had problems with the accellerator pedal having to push it half way to accellerate. Just for a test I had another tune for LLY that had the same o.s. # of the stock file so I loaded it. It cured my problem and pedal was good truck ran great for a bit. I was on a test drive and on my back and the check engine light came on and injectors started to make lots of noise? I pulled over checked the codes and had a p0202 and p2149? I cleared the codes and started the truck and continued on. The truck ran normal with no light? My question is do you see any problem with o.s. #'s of stock file and different o.s. with installed tunes? Thanks, Randy.

The OS contains a LOT of information that EFILive doesn't touch, specifically relating to the options of the vehicle.

If you choose to run any tune other than one based off your stock OS, you may experience problems from what you've reported through to AC/Heater issues - it's all dependent on what options your truck has, and what options the truck from the tune you install has.

Moral of the story, is you should always base your tunes off your stock file. Even running a tune with the same OS doesn't mean the vehicle options are the same.

If you find a tune you wish to run, find a matching stock OS in the library, script those two tunes to determine the differences then apply to the stock tune from your truck.

Cheers
Cindy
