Hopefully getting a EFI Live soon. Do you need a lap top for programing or will a desk top work? For logging you need a laptop right. If so what is a good one to get, will one of those little ones work and which one is good.

mantua, oh
you can use a desk top if you can park your truck in the house or if you want to haul it out to the garage every time lol.. as far as lap tops i have had pretty good luck with dell however my favorite is a mac however i have not went through the trouble of getting it to support efi live it is a bit of a process but for virus resistance the mac is untouchable..

 :spit: yea right, maybe some years ago....

Ok so my post is not 100% off topic...
You could also get a long printer cable to run from usb on desktop lol
The dell minis are pretty nice and would be good for in the truck.
I dont like dell much, Acer, HP, and Toshiba has a pretty good line of laptops too.

You dont need a PC at all to log, with BBL you are covered with the V2 alone.

Oh, and its a lot easier than you think to get efi running on MAC, but thats another thread.

TX of course
There use to be a V1 and V2. The V2 is what you want. I tune from my desk top its to easy to trash a lap top . I just got a 50' Ethernet cable and a adapter to plug 2 Ethernet cables together.
