Figured i'd toss this up, as i think i could recoup alot of money in the long run since im always changing things on my 2000 gasser and would like to tune our 08 and 06 dmax as well.

I know motors and understand them inside and out (well gas motors anyway)...i watched my 2000 get tuned by a reputable guy in michigan but he has now moved to nevada and im left high and dry and not wanting to drop another $200 into a tune since thats 1/4 of the price of efi live.

Im curious if theres any schools held around the midwest or even if somebody who does tunes professional wouldnt mind teaching me for some cash on the side.

I know theres qute a bit of advanced stuff and ive heard off forums that have tunes avaiable for a small cost for a wide variety of needs (towing, smoke, mpg, etc).

Could anyone provide some insight or maybe point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
Dave

Mcrat class is great im sure, but surely theres got to be someone around the midwest area that teaches efilive basics or advanced classes even. Hell somebody had to learn from somebody else to get the ball rolling lol.

Does anyone from EFI-Live host schools or have certify people able to host schools?

Kansas is nice and central for the country, but not for the midwest lol...your out in the great plains.

I was thinking maybe if we could get a list of certified efilive people or something we could all contribute money and see if maybe we could host a class at fleece/danville/etc.

Somewhere central-ish so ohio/indiana/illinois/iowa/michigan/wisconsin/kentucky members could show up and it'd be fairly equal distance.

I know alot of tuners for efi-live will fly to you if theres atleast 10 tunes signed up for, wondering if maybe we could organize something like this and get 10-20people signed up so its a more personal type training. If no shop would be willing to host a class, i've got quite a few large toolsheds i could pull the equipment out of and we could do it that way.

damn that is a small building :p

I get discounts on hotels here as well ($40/night), the family is willing to cook and my small shop is 4800sq foot with 10acres of parking lol.

But im down for whatever...

Whats the next step in the solution? finding a tuner or seeing how much interest is out there?
