Lift pumps are a good idea with or without a tune... it'll help prolong the life of the injection pump.

As for power, depends how you drive...... some people drive stock trucks (read: stock motor internals/ trans) at 500hp and have it survive for thousands of miles. Others load a tune in, go apeshit on the skinny pedal and start breaking parts or blowing stuff up. If you don't drive stupid, it's not unreasonable to expect 400-500 hp and decent longevity out of the motor.

Well, how much fun do you want to have? :woott:
your motor can take a beating, it's your trans that's gonna hate you! You will need a lift pump around 200hp+ but you should get one regardless as it helps your cp3. I say just get a dsp 2 switch, 90hp tune and a 300hp tune, build the trans. Lly's are notorious with headgaskets so be careful
