First you will need to purchase EFI Live from a vendor , most will include a tune set up to fit your needs with the Purchase , there are several Vendors on this site that can take care of you :thumb: when you receive your cable you will load the software and drivers on a laptop and the program your ECM with the tune provided to you , once you get a little more comfortable you can start tuning the truck yourself !

and comparing it to a bullydog how much harder is it to tune

comparing it to bullydog is apples to oranges. The actual programming a tune into the ecm with efi is pretty simple, but there is defiantly a lot more to the tuning. There are some vendors who will tune an ecm for you and return it. A dyno is nice but a lot of these guys have tuned so many trucks that they can get it pretty close on the first try. If you decide to buy efi then you can log and send that log to your tuner and they can go from there.
