I was in the process of loading a tune on my buddy's truck when I needed to lock his vin to my flashscan. As soon as I click, "license ECM" the computer brings up a "EFI Live has stopped responding"

This is on a Vista computer, I had to use my Asus ultra portable to finish the job, anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Its strange, I hope it gets fixed in the next update

Simply put Microsoft thinks their Vista users can't think and they've developed a system to protect you from yourself.

Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done to fix it within EFILive - you'll have exactly the same issues with any external program you install - it just so happens that you normally won't install too many programs that will program your truck!

We recommend that you ensure you are setup as Administrator, and you disable UAC (User Access controls), disable Windows Defender, and install a decent virus scanner / firewall. This should eliminate some of the annoyances Vista has.

Cheers

Thanks Cindy, where do I go to disable the user access?
