Well so there I was running down the interstate minding my own when a dodge comes blowing smoke running by me. He proceedes to throw soot all over the interstate and about this time I reach down and turn the knob to the right a few clicks... Anyway I make a pull on him and around 110 my tranny goes into limp mode... Pretty awesome, wound the engine to over 4 grand.

Anyway the point of the post is what TC do you guys recommend? A suncoast 1057 is what I'm thinking right now. The tranny seems to be in good shape, it runs around 100 degrees over ambient so I'm not too worried about the clutches. I thought a shift kit wouldnt be a bad idea to see if I could prolong the life of the clutches but everyone expertise is always much appreciated.

I didnt get the code, I havent had a chance since I got back late last night. I guess I just assumed it was the tc since its the stock single clutch tc and the transmission doesnt seem to have excessive slippage. I tow frequently with the truck and the temps stay low indicating there is an effecient energy transfer taking place inside of the transmission. That is what my thought was but I don't know for sure so thats why I asked for everyone's thoughts.

Haha 10 4, that was another reason I brought this up since I will have the tranny on the bench why not stab something into it that will handle some power. I will check the codes later this week and confirm that it was indeed the trans.
