EFI Live Class

I just got an e-mail from Chris Cline the Operations Manager at EFI University. I asked (several times) when they are going to have their next Diesel 101 class and finally got an answer other than "Dunno". Here is the e-mail he sent.


We have decided to offer the class as an online video. We are hoping to start production soon. I will notify you when the video is available.

EFI University?

I dont think your going to find much interest for that on here.

Also keep in mind, EFI University is not part of EFI Live...

Pat and Guy taught a class last yer or maybe longer ago, I think Pat said something about doing it again, might wait to see what he says before you pay for anything...

I know they are not the same company. EFI University has offered on their web site a Diesel 101 class for some time now. They just haven't acutally scheduled the class. According to their site the class will use EFI Live to tune an '07 LMM.

Here is the course description;

EFI University is pleased to announce the newest course, Diesel Tuning 101! Come take advantage of this great opportunity to learn Diesel tuning with real professionals! This is the first of our diesel courses and will cover general principles of tuning a modern, common-rail diesel EFI engine. As a part of the course, the EFILive tuning system will be used to tune EFI University's latest school vehicle, a 2007i GMC DURAMAX LMM diesel truck!

But as I said, I would much prefer to be in a classroom setting and have an instructor there. I saw Pat's post a couple of months ago about a class but I haven't heard anything else since. Don't get me wrong if Pat or Guy offers a class I will definately be in it, whether I have taken the online class or not.
