EFI Live and Windows 8 ??

This maybe a dumb question but from the looking I've done I haven't seen if EFI live is compatible with Microsoft Windows 8?

I'm assuming being EFI live is compatible with windows 7 that it would work with windows 8 but wasn't sure.
Looking at getting a new laptop for tuning and didn't known if it would work with Windows 8.

It should work with windows 8 just fine. I've got a new laptop on the way with windows 8, I'll give it a whirl when it gets here and report back.

Sounds good. I was looking at getting a new computer being Vista SUCKS and my laptop isn't the fastest anymore. Plus they're $300 - $400 so it's even more tempting.

If you're looking for a pretty solid laptop that won't destroy the checkbook check out the X401 from ASUS. That's what I'm using for EFI currently. They are around $300 and you can order one from Newegg, or snag one from best buy if there is one near by.

We're back in Kansas City for a few days and going to best buy tonight so I was going to look at laptops. My wife's getting a Macbook Pro and my Toshiba is over 2 years old so I was looking at getting a new one.

I was wrong on the age, it's 4 years old; for got I got it back in 08 so it has vista.
I was looking at getting a new battery but thinking I'd be better off getting a new laptop for the price of a new one.
I'm going to wait and see what prices look like on cyber monday.

I would guess windows 8 because windows 7 you can select what operating version you want the program to run in windows 7, vista, xp, and even down to windows 98.

That interesting. I know nothing about the operating system so that's why I raised the question.

if nothing else, you should still have a compatibility mode like has been available since XP.
