Hello all I am working on a friends Lb7. He has injector 6 stuck @ 7 on balance test and not moving. injector 4 @5.71.

I used the dvt tool and shut off injector 6. This made the terrible knock silence. I am just curios if the Dvt corresponds to the correct cylinder. I thought I read somewhere there was a problem with scan tool and v2 corresponding with the right cylinder?

I used a stethascope to listen to the knocking injector but didnt leave me with anything conclusive to which one it was other than definetly on the driver side.

#6 would be the 3rd one back on the drivers side. im not doubting your knowledge but i have seen other people make this mistake.

i havent used the DVT lately, but i know the last time i used it for injectors it helped me find the bad ones to replace.

Ya,

that is what I found last night. I turned off # 6 and it was quiet again. I pulled it all down and found this.

Havent pulled the cup yet. That will be a tonight job once it cools down a bit. Definetly no copper washer on the injector. GM did this job a few months back from what I was told. I told him right up front to bring it back to them. He claimed that wouldn't stand behind it and didnt want it up the A again.
