I'm always racing here in the south, but no matter where I go to race it seems the humidity to be high. This past weekend was a shocker to me since I don't often turn my truck up to race. I normally just run in tunes 1-3. So my truck will run 12.00x on tune 2 and tune 3 11.9-11.8x. Well I ran tune two to dial in on brackets and it ran 11.67 on my first run. I got my time slip and thought I was on the wrong tune but I wasn't. Have many ppl noticed that big of a jump on their E.T. When running in cooler weather with low humidity?

I can click off easy 12.0's when it is a cooler night but when I went to a track in the middle of the day, 95 degrees and probably 85% humidity and a DA of 7500, my truck will struggle in the 12.2-12.3 range.

Two years ago at Ennis I was running 13.1's all day in 95+ degrees then a cold front came in right at night fall and that's when I got my first 12 second pass. Ran a 12.81 on the first pass after the temp dropped about 25 degrees.

Temperature makes the air thinner (less dense), and despite what you might think, air with a lot of water in it (high humidity)is also thinner.

Interesting to see the differences in just a weather change :thumb: This is a great example of how the aftercooler whether it is a A2A or A2W is being efficient to the incoming charge filling our cylinders.

Setup something that will absorb heat through the wall in the tubing route to the compressor. Make a unit you can plumb into the intake system that has good heat transfer, you want good flow with the best possible heat reduction. Putting something in the way or near a open end kind of negates its use but its up to you. You just may suck it into your engine that way.
