I never hooked up any sort of cable TV to our house yet and probably wont as we don't watch much and what we do we just buy seasons of shows on DVD. So I don't really follow anything on TV, most is terrible reality shows anyways.
I saw one episode of buckwild and didn't think much of it. Just another dumb show, sure I could relate to it a little more than Jersey Shore, but it kind of went over the top.
I don't follow anything really, but my Fiance had made a good point about how much attention its receiving. Everyone is doing things in honor of him, when there's plenty of people dying while being responsible or doing their job. Regardless of your stance on the war, I would think those guys receive a little more respect than a guy doing stupid things and ending up killing himself and two others. I was watching an old Dave Chappelle video last night and he was talking about MTV interviewing Ja Rule about 9/11. His point was pretty good, why do people care so much about celebs versus real issues.
I guess in a way, like I say often, the movie Idiocracy is real however on the flip side so is "natural selection". I remember watching music videos on MTV, learning about things on the Learning Channel, learning about things on the History Channel, and learning about things on the Discovery Channel and I am not that old. History Channel was all we had left, and they went down that road too. I guess I am the only one who prefers Modern Marvels over ice road truckers.
Anyways, my question is simple. They claim they died from carbon monoxide poisoning because the engine stalled in a mud puddle. When it comes to gas engines, I know they have spark plugs but thats about it. I am no scientist either, but I don't understand how you can die from CO poisoning when the engine is not running? The only thing I can figure is that the media just did a bad job reporting like they always do. I'm guessing they sat in the puddle trying to get it out for a long time and those gases killed them. Why not open a window? They said the drivers side door was free.
Oh ya that's right they were drunk. Yet the majority of the reports you read on it ignores that fact. Why? You drink and do stupid stuff, you pay the price. Whether its an OWI, or waking up on a random couch somewhere. I'm not an anti drinking person, I am from Wisconsin after all, just seems too many people lack some brain cells. The target audience of that show is high school and low 20s, why not make it clear what actions all led up to their death versus asking viewers for money and to have a day in honor of him. We don't honor drunk drivers any other time, why should it be any different this time.
