I just looked at Edge's website and the insight is on sale:
SALE PRICE: $368.08
cut and pasted. Ive lurked on these forums long enough to know that what looks like a deal to the casual lurker often is not a deal to the forum veteran. I'm a long way from veteran status and am wondering if a new unit at this discounted price is worth getting into. Thanks

I like the cts seems to work well and you have a lot of options.

Only thing I'm not crazy about is it won't read boost higher than the factory map sensor max.. So if you have max effort tuning or an aftermarket turbo you can't see max boost without some ecm mods and a different sensor.

That being said I'll probably be installing one in my own truck soon Witt the lbz conversion.

Amazon is indeed $20 cheaper, do these things ever break? Wondering if the $20 is better spent buying direct in case there's a problem with the unit but if the gauges without the tuning are solid & don't have problems that's $20 saved.

Amazon has the Edge CTS, dashpod, and adapter for $399.00, last year just the CTS was $399.00, adapter $10.00 dashpod $40.00. If you use the dashpod you need the adapter for it fit. Concerning an EGT gauge just install a separate gauge as Edge is having grounding issues and blaming the truck.

Edge has always backed up the ones my buddies got from there. Customer service is awesome. Once in a while they are 330 on there.

Can you clarify that, I would be interested to know..

Edge has two different egt probes. One just has a plug that plugs into the display and the other has a two sided plug that allows you to daisy chain sensors. I think that lead wire that come from the display is different. And there is a slight price difference.

I can't say all but most people that have had sensors crap out on them were using the non expandable.

I read a ton of posts on them before I decided to buy mine. It's been flawless going on two years now.

Edge will not warrantee products purchased from amazon, fyi. They has a "do not purchase from" list on their site. Most everyone is offering a 10% discount this month so I'd look at true companies to purchase from and stay away from the kids selling non supported products on amazon.

I bought the Edge Insight CTS, dash pod & adapter, backup camera, expandable EGT sensor, and DSP 5 EFI Live tuning as a package deal from a forum sponsor. It's been flawless for 2 years.

Edit: My backup camera died. A phone call to the nice folks at Edge & they replaced it under warranty.

So you should lose yours any day now then :roflmao: I just hit my 2 year mark and mine took a dump. I wish you the best of luck though :thumb:

And FYI to anyone else the warranty on the EGT probes is only a year so after they they tell you to pound sand
