If I purchase an ECM that is used from another truck with a tune that is locked from a tuner can I full flash it with my V2 for my truck?

So I can't purchase a VIN license and full flash it with a stock tune file? Can they be locked to the tuners EFI or just the tune file locked for viewing?

No if it's locked from another tuner you are SOL. Can't full flash over it. Buy another ecm

Actually, it depends on the ECM. If its a LBZ/LMM (or newer, I believe), you can flash over a locked tune. The lock prevents reading only (and of course LML+ you cant read anyway).
