My ECM and TCM are dirty and was wondering what the best way to clean them? I'm thinking some soapy water and a rag but obviously don't want to ruin any of the internal electronics.

I just took them out of the truck, since its easy enough to do, wiped them down with simple green. Then took some Mag polish and polished them up, I know im weird. But I cant resist polishing something that can be polished.
I've always hosed mine, I hand wash and spray my motor and around it just like the rest of the truck.
I wouldn't be afraid to use simple green and a hose. They are well sealed. I would avoid a pressure washer, they're not THAT well sealed.
And while I'm sure the dishwasher suggestion was a joke, I'll say it to be clear: don't do that.
Alternatively, you can take them apart, pull the PCB out, and do whatever you want to the case. Like a dishwasher :thumb:
