I'm going to be looking for another truck soon, i want to be competitive in drag racing, sled pulls, and put down decent numbers on a dyno but want to be able to drive it some during the week, set up like a diesel power challenge truck. I've had an ec/sb but like the idea of 4 full size doors. Should i save weight with the ext. cab or go to a crew cab?

I have a CCSB and 85% of the time it's only me in it. I would not want another cab configuration for a daily driver.
The crew cab is going to have a higher resale value, and the cabs (in theory) are stronger than the extended cabs, plus, I would think (I wonder if anyone has looked into this), that the twisting force of increased torque would have an adverse effect on the rigidity of the extended cab.

In short...I would get the crew cab.

Crew ftw, I also recommend leather seats, subwoofers and blue leds in the interior. :)

I don't think i could bring myself to get one without leather, spoiled from my last one.

Yeah i tested the the driver side top of my ext cab earlier this year, did pretty well, i haven't had the chance to wreck a crew cab yet though. :D
