does anyone know where to find a long reverse threaded drill bit? i have a friend that has a broken head bolt on a LS1 and it's down further than a regular easy out will reach. we got a long drill bit to start a hole, but can't find an easy out that's long enough.

that's definitely an option. curious if anyone makes them though...we can't be the first one's to run across this problem. it only needs to be about 2 to 3 inches longer than a standard easy out.

MSC for the left hand drill bit. Hopefully they are not ARPs because if they are you are going to need a very $$$ drill bit to cut that material.

sweet! i've never seen one of those. as long as it holds the extractor firmly so there isn't any "wobble" effect, it looks like it should work. the only other concern would be if it will fit in the hole. of coarse if it does fit, it won't have room to wobble. we drilled a 3/16 hole, but there is room to go bigger. i forgot what the bolt size is...whatever LS1 head bolts are stock.
