Just wondering what to expect if a E-locker was used at the track. Anyone tried it? and if so, What would be the effect, good or bad? I really want to be able to steer away from the guard rail..............

That is a good question. I just got mine wired in Blue. I haven't been able to play with it :(

I was told though to try it in a deserted parking lot, to make sure you can steer

I just don't believe a Locker in the front is a good idea on the track??? Puling Yes, but strip NO WAY!!!!!

Mayeb I am incorrect here but the driving characteristcs of a Locker at 100+ MPH aren't a good idea IMO!!!!

I would think a front locker would help keep the truck straight. With an open front differential, it tends to pulls in the direction of which side has the power, so a locker should eliminate that. But I have not tested this out!

Any Guinea Pigs out there? I'm going to wait on this one. It may be ok if everything go's normal. I'm just thinking about a blown rear tire or something crazy making it necessary to do some serious driving to keep it on all fours.
I'll bet it's a great launch though..................

Yes they have the E-Locker, but last I talked to tomac, he did not use it for racing. Maybe he has since tried it.

I don't think it's a very good idea. Even with it engaged on dirt at slow speeds the steering response is marginal. Add in pavement and 100+ mph and you get a recipe for possible disaster. If you got into a situation where you had to correct quickly I don't think the locker would let because of the massive understeer. Someone told me once that you don't steer locked or spooled front end trucks, you just give them suggestions on which direction to go.:D
