Dye test

Has anyone here tried the dye test. What kit did you use? Is it safe with the duramax engine/transmission?

I believe I found the leak. The steering stabilizer has a crack in it and it's leaking reddish colored fluid. It's Rancho brand.

I use Caterpillar brand oil, fuel, coolant, & A/C dye all the time. Works like a charm.
