The 3 guess'ers all get 1 question to ask the owner about the vehicle and what ever the owner volenteers to say when he is brought up to the line and greeted. Some give a few details right there, some dont. Some guys are sneaky and dont lead on to how fast there ride is, and some are slow as sh#t and make it sound fast. Driver skill plays in too. My dad and i are pretty good at pickin good guesses. Gotta look for the right clues, like NHRA class stickers, roll gages (funny car cage is a good hint of speed) chutes, etc. Nice when they ask the right Q's too. Some of the tools on the show crack me up with stuipd @ss Q's:rofl: Each person must choose there Q wisely but often hear things like..."what rear end ya got?" "what gear?" "what tire size you runnin?" stupid stuff like that kills me:spit: Dude, when your tryin to guess the general ET of a car, what gear ya got dont really matter! Most are drag cars/ street stuff. and those Q's dont get ya nothin. Stuff they should ask are powerplant info, power adders, throttle stops, weight, that kind of stuff. They have one resident guy, Ken, that is always one of the guessers. He knows stuff and what to ask fairly well.
I did see a Dmax on there once, few light mods, nothin fancy, but they ALL grossly underestimated the superior Dmax power
They got stunned!
