I have both the CD and the 5-book manual. The CD Takes up over 700 MB of space on my hard drive. The books sit on the shelf in the shop and I find I use them a lot more than the CD. I guess it just depends on the person.
I also believe that the CD's need to use the internet to get their info, but I may be wrong.

Thanks Sweetdiesel for that link. Have One coming from Helmincs. $135. Say its full service manual - Body Susp, Eng, Trans etc. I prefer books not CD for on the spot reference. Part No is GMT04CK8PU if anyone else is interested - (#04 is for year 04 - change to 03 or 05 for those years)

I'll look into the model years tomorrow. I'll make copies if anyone wants them... or even send the origional..... I only use the book.

Ok, here's what I got. Its a set of 8 CD's that all get loaded onto your computer. According to the installation paper it is the Nov. 2004 set of eSI CD's, the final set of CD's to be distributed to dealers. After that, the SI website is the primary method for accessing GM service Info. So, I would say it would cover all LB7's and probablly no LLY's.
I've only got enough spare CD's to burn one copy right now, I'll have to buy some more when I get in to town. I've had a few requests for copies, but I think for right now I'm going to burn the one copy and send it out and make sure it works before I burn any more.

I have the manuals, but I bought them a while back, and they just go up to the 2002 GM trucks.Greeetings All
New member here and very recent inductee into EFI Live. Several D-maxes to play with, but most of the trucks are Company owned construction trucks. But, this doesn't prevent me from "maintenance upgrades". I want to see how tough the Suncoast package is, so bring on the mods. Thanks.

LLY or LB7
Cant get much sense out of Helmics on year Manuals. Say they don't have 1/2 years ie. 2004.5. Say they have 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005- and they don,t know if the 04 is LLY or LB7. I would assume it would be LLY - anybody know before I spend $135 on them then $300 for postage? thanks

I wish I would have read this sooner! I just got home from the shop or I would have checked. I can check tomorrow, but I bet someone else will let you know before I do!
I'm pretty sure the 2004 books (thats what I have) are just LB7.
