I have an idea for a Duramax swap into something a little different and I need an accurate set of dimensions to see if it's even possible. The car has a lot of framework around the engine compartment, designed for an LS motor originally, so I don't know if the block will even physically fit without serious frame modifications.

Did any of you catch that 94 Mustang that participated in Hot Rod Magazine's Drag Week? Something like 800hp and it still pulled 38mpg, that has my inspired to swap into a similar yet different platform in the search of even better performance and economy.

Basically it can be made to fit in any hole that you could put a Big Block Chevy in. It is really not much bigger than a 6.0 LS. Bolt pattern is the same on the bellhousing.

I might know a little about the Mustang. I was just riding around in it last weekend.;) I will be in it all next week at Drag Week 2010.

That 38mpg figure is including drag strip passes and stop and go driving. Highway mileage can get into the 40s
