Not sure if this is in the right place or not, but I thought I heard that someone most likey Guy had written a book documenting the differences on the vintages of the Duramax engines. I tried a quick search and looked at his website but didn't see anything.

Anyone know if such an animal exists yet? Looking for stuff like LB7 crank fits an LLY but not an LBZ (just making this up for an example ...).

I try to keep some "notes" of useful tidbits that I find, but was hoping someone had already written them all down ... at least all the interchangable parts ones. Oh well, I guess its time to keep jotting down notes.

These titles are available on Amazon IIRC:

"How much HP is reliable?" - by Ben T. Rods
"How to build a 8 second diesel" - Hugh Bucks
"What causes severe blowby?" - U. R. Scrude
